It just so happens to be the birthday of an amazing Russian-born French painter by the name of Marc Chagall...who himself, or one of his paintings, rather, happens to be the subject of a favorite song by one of my favorite bands, The Weepies. Like Chagall's work, their songs tend to be both dreamlike and poignant. It's so cool to see how touching and emotional art can be, and how it can continue to affect people (and inspire more art) long after it's been created.
