It's turkey day, and that's the name of our turkey.  In keeping with our Thanksgiving tradition, my brother and I selected and agreed upon the name after surprisingly little deliberation and (arguably) abundant inspiration.  Not in keeping with tradition, we chose the name over the phone this year, since he's 1400 miles away in the Big Apple.  

He pretty much knows how Thanksgiving goes around here, but I still thought he might enjoy a few snippets of his family's day here in fly-over country.

Here's what everyone's been doing.  There aren't any surprises, but there's definitely the tug of the familiar.

  

Mom was bustling around cleaning when I arrived.  Here she is, vacuuming the couch...like ya do...

Razzmatazz the show cat tirelessly rehearsed his routine...

and Dad took off his chef's hat for a little wheelin' and dealin' on eBay.

Rigley's going to steal the show as soon as I can figure out how to upload his video...but here's a picture!

I wish you could be here, Wesley! Don't be too messy eating with your friends tonight. It was cute when you were 2, but I'm not sure they'd like it so much now.
