After conducting a quick honey smell-test, I have discovered that my honey option was the culprit in the last batch. Weird-smelling, weird-tasting, NOT expired. A different honey has been elected.
Also, sorry if the overdue milk description was also an over-share. It had been unopened, in the back of the fridge, so was still a viable ingredient. It's just easy to pin the blame on things other than the cook. :)
